YouthLEAD - Catholic Youth Leader Training @ Camp Guggenheim | Saranac Lake | New York | United States

Youth LEAD is a leadership training weekend in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains at Lower Saranac Lake.  High School Age Teens from all over Vermont will be joined by teens from the Ogdensburg Diocese (upstate New York).  LEAD stands for Leadership, Evangelization, and Discipleship and is geared toward teens who have exemplified or acknowledged a desire to lead within their own parishes.

LEAD is designed to teach teens that you cannot lead or evangelize without being first a disciple of Christ – living in Christ’s love daily, seeking Him in the Sacraments, and living every aspect of life for Him, authentically.  This is open to freshmen through rising seniors.

The Diocese of Burlington is asking every parish to choose 2-4 teens who can be ‘trained up’ (Proverbs 22: 6) in Christian leadership.  This promises to be a fun weekend, with lots of interactive activities and opportunities for personal and spiritual growth – and meeting new friends!  These teens will then return to our parishes ready and willing to serve in whatever capacity they are needed.  We hope to create true ‘servant leaders’ who will enliven the faith of the people of Vermont.

What Youth Lead Teaches:

• Being a leader in Christ is to first be a follower of Christ

• Being a disciple is hard work, but attainable

• Knowing Christ means encountering Him in a true relationship

• To discovering God’s will for your life

• Practical leadership Training
