The VT Genealogy Library’s spring schedule of classes will begin on Jan. 15 with the first class, “Getting Started on Your Family History.” In this class Lynn Johnson will discuss types of records, where to find them, common errors and helpful hints. Using examples from her own family work she will explain different types of sources, evaluating whether the pieces fit and the importance of documenting your findings. This class is designed for beginners as well as for those who have begun but are feeling overwhelmed or unsure if they are doing it correctly. Classes are from 10:30 a.m. to noon and will be held on Zoom. The cost is $10. Additions to the spring schedule will be finalized soon. To learn more and to register for the classes, visit vtgenlib.org or call at 802-871-5647.
