Honor Our Past

This year there are three deserving honorees.
The Distinguished Faculty Award honoree is former Christ the King Principal RoseMaria Doran. Mrs. Doran served the community of CKS as principal from 2000-2009 and championed raising scholarships to make Catholic education affordable for local families. She also spearheaded many humanitarian service projects such as when the CKS students collected and sent 11 boxes of school supplies to a girl’s school in war-ravaged Habbaniyah, Iraq.
J. Brian Hart, CKS ’95, MSJ ’99 will be receiving our Unsung Hero Award. After several years as a successful attorney, in 2017 Brian left his legal career and co-founded Lighthouse DC. Brian is now the CEO of this amazing nonprofit organization, which provides furniture and household goods to homeless and low income people who secure housing in the DC area.
Robert P. McClallen, CKS ’65, MSJ ‘69 will be honored with the Spirit of MSJ Award. Though a busy attorney at McClallen & Associates, P.C. in Rutland, which he runs with his sons, Rob receives the Spirit of MSJ Award for his many years at both schools where he’s served as Board member. Rob is also recognized at MSJ as Chair of the Golf committee, running both the John Valente and the Michael Baker tournaments and as a tireless member of the Development Committee.
