RUTLANT, VT – The Women of Trinity (Trinity Church, Rutland) is very excited to welcome Susan Howland, the president of Province 1 ECW, Roberta Stocksdale, the Province 1 ECW secretary, as well as Lois Frankforter, the National Girls Friendly Society president for an informative afternoon event. The Women of Trinity would like to invite all women from the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont to be part of this event at our afternoon tea party on Saturday, October 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
While ECW does not have a presence in the Diocese of Vermont, we do pay dues to the national organization and therefore have access to the network and resource possibilities. At our tea party, Susan and Roberta with give a presentation about Episcopal Church Women and share information about the various resources available to all Episcopal women. Also, Lois will offer a presentation about Girls Friendly Society and how that organization connects with ECW. Our special guests will bring along their “roadshow” with materials to promote a number of services available through the ECW network, including: ECW (national), United Thank Offering, Girls Friendly Society, Daughters of the King, Church Periodical Club, Episcopal Women’s History Project and other points within the network.
Parishes with established women’s groups like ours are especially encouraged to join us for our afternoon tea event. But we also encourage individual women who are looking for an easy avenue of connection with other Episcopal women to come! Not to be exclusive to the gentlemen in our Diocese, we invite men as well to come and learn about the strength of the community of women in the Episcopal Church!
