West Rutland Variety Show for Food Shelf

Venue: West Rutland Town Hall, 35 Marble St., West Rutland
What: A variety of local talent performing music, comedy, dance for a charitable cause.
Tickets: $8 for adult; $5 for seniors/children (under 12); $20 family
The 11th annual West Rutland Variety Show will showcase local talent to raise money for the West Rutland Food Shelf. Tom Leypoldt, executive director of PEG-TV,  will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Performers include dancers from Born to Dance Studio in downtown Rutland, musicians from the Rutland Jewish Center’s Klezmer Band, along with other local solo and group acts, with a finale presented by members of St. Bridget and St. Stanislaus Kostka Churches. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale. All funds raised will go to the West Rutland Food Shelf. Tickets are available at the door.
Previous West Rutland Variety Shows have benefited local causes including the Rutland Meals Challenge, the Dodge House, NewStory Center, the Mentor Connector, Pure Water for the World, and the Rutland Dismas House. The West Rutland Variety Show has also raised funds for international aid to Haiti, Japan and Uganda.
