DESCRIPTION:The annual Diocesan Family Day Mass will be celebrated July 20 at 12:15 p.m. at St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle LaMotte.\nA barbecue will follow.\nSt. Anne’s Shrine is a peaceful\, spiritual\, and historic site that has been developed and maintained for the past 100 years by the Society of St. Edmund in the Champlain Islands. Each season\, thousands of religious pilgrims\, vacationers and tourists visit the popular waterfront site in Isle La Motte for devotion and recreation.\nThe mission of the shrine is to serve as a welcoming place of peace and hope ministering to all God’s people through prayer\, devotion\, hospitality\, and spiritual renewal.\nSituated on 32 acres\, the shrine offers an open-air chapel\, rustic grottos\, a café\, a gift shop\, an all-purpose facility and picnic areas.\nThe shrine will be providing a free-will-donation barbecue after the Family Day Mass as in the past.\nVisitors are welcome to bring their own picnic as well as lawn chairs and lawn games.\nContact St. Anne’s Shrine at sas@sse.org or 802-928-3362 with questions or to RSVP by July 3.\nAdditional information about the event may be obtained from Deacon Armand Auclair\, Marriage and Family Life Coordinator for the Diocese of Burlington at 802-658-6110 ext. 1451 or aauclair@vermontcatholic.org.

DESCRIPTION:Deacon Luan Tran is scheduled to be ordained this year to the priesthood by Bishop John J. McDermott on Saturday\, May 31 at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Burlington. The Mass will take place at 10:00 am.\nAll are invited to attend. A light reception to follow in the Parish Hall.\nPriests wishing to concelebrate are asked to bring their alb; stoles and chasubles will be provided. DESCRIPTION:At this special Mass celebrated by Bishop McDermott\, the Oil of Chrism is consecrated\, the Oils of Catechumens and the Sick are blessed\, and the priests within the Diocese of Burlington recommit themselves to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. Free parking is available along Elmwood Avenue and pay lots/garages are near the Cathedral. Carpooling is highly encouraged.\nAll are invited to join in celebrating this special Mass. Parish representatives may pick up holy oils for their parish after the Mass in the lower-level chapel.
