SUMMARY:Grieving with Great Hope
DESCRIPTION:Grief Workshop at St. Catherine’s Parish:\nWe are blessed to be able to offer this workshop AGAIN at St. Catherine of Siena Parish (72 Church Street\, Shelburne\, VT)\, which will be facilitated by parishioner Tom Bonnette.\nTo Register: Call 802-985-2373 or email stcatherineofsiena@vermontcatholic.org (with your name/home parish) to reserve your spot.\nThis year\, the Grief Workshop will begin with a KICK-OFF SOCIAL on Saturday\, Jan. 25 at 5 PM in the parish hall right after the 4 PM Mass. It will give you a chance to get to know your peers before the workshop starts. Please bring a picture of your loved one(s) and their obituary to share if you are able.\nGrieving With Great Hope is a bereavement program based on Catholic teachings\, developed by Good Mourning Ministries (GMM) and presented on the FORMED website. It offers: Prayerful\, Practical\, and Personal Grief Support. It is appropriate whether you lost a loved one recently or long ago.\nThe program consists of five weekly sessions. Each session will include watching a video\, time for personal reflection\, and small group sharing. All conversations are confidential and no one may share in discussion outside of session. You will receive a participant workbook and a journal with great content to help guide you to healing.\nHere are the session topics & dates: (meets 10 AM to Noon in the parish hall)\n–Session One: (Saturday\, Feb. 1\, 2025)\nGrieving with Great Hope-Stories of loss and HOPE\n–Session Two: (Saturday\, Feb. 8\, 2025)\nEntering the Valley-An introduction to grief\, mourning\, and theories\n–Session Three: (Saturday\, Feb. 15\, 2025)\nThe Journey Through-Emotions\, Forgiveness\, and the Seven Intentions of Mourning\n–Session Four: (Saturday\, Feb. 22\, 2025)\nChoosing to Move Forward-Aspects of Grief\, Year of Firsts\, and Rituals\n–Session Five: (Saturday\, March 1\, 2025)/reception will follow\nJesus Wept-Fr.
