SUMMARY:Alpha Film Series at SJV Church
DESCRIPTION:Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to discuss life and faith in an informal\, fun\, and friendly environment. All are invited\, no matter their background or beliefs. It is free\, and there is no pressure to come back. Each of the sessions begins with a meal\, followed by a brief video on a broad question of the Christian faith. Guests are encouraged to participate in a small group discussion and share their views on the topic. It’s a place to connect with people and a place where you can say anything you like or nothing at all.\n \nThis series takes place every Friday\, beginning November 8 at 6:30 PM and going through February 7\, inclusive. We will skip November 29\, and the Friday\, December 20 session has been moved to Wednesday\, December 18.

Drawing from his own experience of recovering from depression\, as well as what others have taught me along the way\, it shows that a full and joyful life is possible after the devastation of mental illness. There’s honesty about pain\, but there’s also laughter\, as he shares recovery stories from his adventures as the founder of a great new sport\, “wild coin hunting”
