Stannard Baker\, archdeacon and chaplain to the retired\, died on June 24.\nA funeral service to celebrate his life and ministry will take place on Saturday\, August 2 at 11 a.m. at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul. The service will be livestreamed on the Cathedral’s YouTube Channel. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the prelude will begin at 10:20. Overflow seating will be available at The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington.\nThe service will be led by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Shannon MacVean-Brown as the principal celebrant; the Very Rev. Diane Nancekivell will be the presider at the Service of the Word; and the Rev. Canon Tanya R. Wallace\, Diocese of Western Massachusetts\, will preach.\nClergy are invited to vest and process (alb\, white stole) and pink accents are encouraged.\nThe family requests\, that in Stan’s memory\, attendees wear bright\, joyous colors. Pink if possible.\nA reception will follow the service.\nPlease note\, due to the limited availability of parking\, those who attend in person are highly encouraged to carpool and park either on the street or in the city garage across the street from the Cathedral. The first two hours are free. Parking in the Cathedral’s lot will be reserved.\nRead his obituary.

DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Steubenville East Youth Conference will be taking place July 25-27 in Springfield\, MA. The conference is open to all high schoolers\, including those who will be graduating both 8th grade and high school in June 2025. At each Steubenville Youth Conference\, teens experience a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that ignites their faith\, strengthens their prayer life\, and empowers them to live on mission long after the conference ends.\nAll participants\, including adult chaperones and students\, and those attending with a group or individually must register via the following registration link – https://paperwork.lifeteen.com/c/V5X3\nThe price is $360 per person which includes a hotel room for 2 nights\, 5 meals\, bus transportation\, registration to the conference\, and a T-shirt.\nA $50 deposit is required within 2 weeks of registration to hold your spot.
