Or maybe you’ve heard about different methods\, devotions\, and approaches to prayer and wondered how they work and whether you’d feel like they were a good fit for you?  Well\, we can help! June 1\, 2\, and 3\, St John Vianney parish is hosting a series that looks at different ways to pray. Each night\, we will begin in the downstairs Church Hall with a potluck at 5:30 PM and then have a brief talk about different spiritual disciplines we can use to get closer to God. Join us for one\, two\, or all three of the sessions!\nOn Sunday\, June 1\, Sr Paul Mary\, FSE will present “the Battle of Prayer.”\nOn Monday\, June 2\, Fr Tim will present “Praying with the Psalms” \nOn Tuesday\, June 3\, Fr. Tim will present “Bible Canticles and the Liturgy of the Hours”\nEach nightly presentation will be 45 minutes.\nWe’d love to see you there.  If you’re able to come\, please let us know by signing up on our website to bring a dish to the potluck. DESCRIPTION:Please come celebrate our Blessed Mother on a journey of faith and fellowship! On May 31\, 2025\, we will be making a 2.3 mile walk from St Joseph’s Church\, 23 St Joseph Lane\, Isle La Motte\, to St Anne’s Shrine starting at 9 a.m. (the walk takes a little more than an hour). We will be praying the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet while we walk for the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. For those who cannot walk with us and would still like to participate\, there will also be a Holy Hour of Adoration at St. Anne’s Shrine starting at 10:00 a.m. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. at St Anne’s Shrine for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.\nAfter mass\, we will transport people back to their cars that are parked at St. Joseph’s and have lunch at the Shrine. Please bring a light lunch of your own as the dining hall will not be open yet. At 1 p.m. we will be walking/praying the Stations of the Cross for Life with time after that to walk the grounds if you like.\nBathrooms will be open at the Shrine at 8:30 a.m. as there will be no facilities available at St. Joseph’s at the beginning of the walk.
