Public veneration of the relic of the Chains of St. Peter

On the weekend of June 29-30 we invite the Catholic faithful to join us at either the 4:15 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass, or the 11 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Peter Church in Rutland to celebrate our patronal Feast of St. Peter and the 146th anniversary of the dedication of St. Peter Church. During each of the weekend Masses a relic of the Chains of St. Peter will be available for public veneration. This link of chain is a second class relic, which means it came into direct contact with St. Peter, our first pope.
